Nice

A great loop, it sounds like the music for a turn based RPG or something. I like it.

Psychopath responds:

Thanks!

I like it

Something about just doesn't seem to fit, most likely the voice (its good but sometimes seems out of place). Everything else screams "fantastic!" The two guys before me are definatley just trying to be annoying or sound like they know what they're talking about. It just sounds like babbiling to me. I like this piece a lot and hope the best for your future works.

DJ-VIZ responds:

yeah the voice is a bit out there...but I felt it was needed, maybe I overused i, but what can you do? Anyway, I just ignore reviewers like that...just iritates me how they think they know music. Thanks for the rev!

I think it's great

It's really cool to hear a song that is so basic and simple (13 sounds, but so well used) but so darn good to listen too. I like this a lot. The synth at 1:20 didn't throw me as much as the last guy's review lead me to believe so I'm glad. A nice little piece of audio to come back to the portal after a short break (haven't come in a few days). Nice job!

3rd review, 10/10, 5/5. A nice a clean piece of music. Very enjoyable

nightsurfermusic responds:

thanks! Glad you thought it was good my friend :)

Nifty

you didn't change much here, which is both good and bad. Windwaker's music was very pure and simple so it should (in my opinion) be kept as such, but at the same time a major change wouldn't have hurt you here. That said I LOVE how you focused more on the background instruments of the song more than the flute for this remix. I think that made the song for me. I also like how you remix the titles of the songs too. Nice, nice job

Charem responds:

Yes, I agree, that flute was already lovely how it was...I'm a real sucker for flutes, so I left it alone, not wanting to mess it up or anything. <3

A little more change? Yeah, might have been a good idea...I don't know, I kept getting the feeling, 'Don't go too far with this, or you'll ruin what you have.' I tend to listen to my gut feelings, so...I didn't stamp down what was established, for the most part. =P

Thanks for the review!

Gotta give respect here

If there is any game that has hard music to remix it's Megaman games because the music is already all techno-y and electronic. Remixing any of that music is difficult but when done right, it ends up phenomenally. I love this, I judge a remix on 1) How well it maintains the original beat and music 2) How well it changes the music to make it original and 3) overall sound and tune (as if this wasn't a remix at all). You nailed all topics. Major congratualtions!

Charem responds:

Thank you! ^^ #1 on your list is very important to me too. I suppose I don't so much as 'remix' as I do 'enhance' half of the time with my songs. =)

Nice song

It sounds a little repetitive but its nice, has some good bass and synth and I liked it. Oddly enough, it loops remarkably well. Overall a nice but forgettable piece.

1st review, 9/10, 5/5. Sounds really nice and loops well (probably and accident) but I will probably forget this song by the end of the day. Nothing special about it

AlxEllis responds:

Cool thanks for reviewing yes some of my songs are a bit repetitive lol

Agree with the last guy but then again

I will agree that the song is slow starting, but I also see you intended this as what you call "Light trance". I think it is done very true to that vision. It is light, picks up to keep your attention when it needs it most, relaxes again, then blasts again. I find it very professional in that regard because most techno and trance I hear from pro artists make their songs very much the same way. Really enjoyed it, grats man!

2nd review, 9/10, 5/5. A nice little respite from the heavy stuff. Cheers!

CH32 responds:

thanks ^^

totally could see a music video for this

if I had any artistic talent at all I would beg to make a music video for this, but I don't so I won't. I agree with your vision here of a person in a school building, that's what I'd make a video of. Really was a nice song. I can't believe you consider yourself a begginer at this, I wish I had that kind of talent in the future.

1st review, 10/10, 5/5. You gotta find someone to use this in a video or something!

quayquay17 responds:

wow! thanks a bunch!

this really is the first actual song ive recorded.

funny you should say music video, i would TOTALLY make one.... if i had flash that is, i got the free trial, then somehow got it to last 60 days, ive got 5 days left and im working on a music video at the moment, only problem is, its last week of 8th grade, so im crammed with finals, its IMPOSSIBLE.

thanks for the listen and kind words!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That was awesome! Perfect loop! Loved the part at 21 when things go dead silent and suddenly intense. Everything was great. Can not wait for the full version. The title has me confused however, are you planning to use this in an RPG or something?

1st review 11/10 (if possible), 5/5, downloaded That was my favorite loop I've ever heard in my time here on NG.

DavidKrachtLam responds:

Yep, I plan to use this in my RPG that I'm creating, so maybe I'll just make a full version here and cut myself a loopable one. Or release both. I don't know :S

Thanks for your kind review!

I can dig it!

wow, you say this is your first shot at this kind of music. Could've fooled me. I like it, easily could fit in some RPG game. Nice background but at the same time it catches your attention, probably like a boss theme in a game where the action is a bit more stressed. I like it a lot. Loops decently too, which is what it is meant for.

1st review 10/10 5/5 nice job especially for a first effort!

Babyblue91 responds:

Thank you very much!! Yes this is probably a fight against a a boss or any fight scene. This is very useful for game makers. Thanks again for the review!
