The kinds of songs that got me into your music

Only One, Orchestral Angels, The Euphoria. That kind of music was just fantastic. I've been always looking to see what you make next and it feels great to hear a throw back to that old sort of progression you had in those songs. Truly fantastic stuff. Thanks. Keep on doing what you do and best of luck to the future.

Very good ambiance

I like to browse Newgrounds for music for running tabletop games. This is exactly the kind of thing I see playing in a water filled dungeon or a sea side port town. Very relaxing with just an edge of feeling something is right around the corner. Really good, would work well in a flash game. Keep up the good work!

thank you for the review, boy would I love to get a song put into a game

Fantastic stuff

So here's my story for this song.

I host a Dungeons and Dragons game with my buddies from time to time. One of my friend's characters held a mechanically triggered stone slab door open for the rest of the team while a mob of orcs/goblins was rushing in. Rather than slipping in with the rest of the party he instead held his ground against the horde so the team would have time before the monsters got through the door. He was screwed from the start and he knew it. I started playing this for the ensuing fight and I'll be darned if it wasn't the best last stand I've ever seen.

I would give only a 9 because this could've looped better, but given the circumstances it's worth the 10. Great job.

AlmostTechnicolor responds:

Sounds like a good time :) I love hearing how my music affects peoples' imaginations. Very encouraging. Thank you for sharing!

Just keeps getting better

Waiting for that day when your page changes from "Job:PC Tech" to "Job: Professional DJ"

Honest, you really do keep getting more varied and consistently better in your work. It's fantastic. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. Keep cranking out the great music so I can say "I knew you when..."

Very nice recreation

I almost want to dock a point because you don't change a whole lot of the song, but why change something already good?

It's a REALLY good remastering/recreation of the song just before the climax of MML2. This song is HAUNTING in context of the game and you really capture that in the second half of this track. Great job.

ProudOne responds:

I know it almost doesnt qualify for beeing called a remix, but some things are different. I just aimed for subtle changes to not smother the original's calm and creepy feeling

Thank you for the listen.

You got a download out of me in under 30 seconds

I'm a huge megaman fan myself, I loved this. Great work as usual ma'am, look forward to the next song

NemesisTheory responds:

Thirty seconds? wow that's fast <333
I'm glad yet another Megaman fan likes the song! <33

Thanks a lot for the support and the review!

Oddly catchy

It's somewhere between the line of catchy and annoying. Strangely it fits a character I'm using for my tabletop gaming group, so thanks for this. Good work

Prodigal responds:

HAHAHAHAHAH

your welcome man, I had fun making this to be honest.

It depends on the rest of the song

The second part is a little lighter sounding and I think it really depends on whether the rest of the song focuses on that background sidechain (which is much more noticeable in the first half).

If you're starting the song with that background rhythm and leading into this, it would make more sense to use the first half. If you're using the more prominent synth of the melody as a lead in, and the background stuff will be extra layers that make this the climax of the song, it'd make more sense to use the second take, where it's not as upfront.

Honestly the differences are slight, and both are really good. Hope my advice helps any.

Two problems

1) It sounds like the beginning of the song and ends up not going anywhere, it could have used more
2) It ends and then there's a gap before it loops again (granted this could be because of uploading or any such problems)

If you add more to it this could end up being a really fun loop

TheCon-Sept responds:

Its a drum loop... Its not supposed to be a full song... I don't think anyone else realizes this...

However it is going to be used in the BGM for my review stuff.

It's ambient that's for sure

It's a very backgroundy kinda music. Not wonderfully catchy but it's not supposed to be. My only suggestion would have been to introduce the synth at the end earlier and added another layer at the end instead. Other than that I really can't complain about it, it's nicely done
